Film has a unique way of bringing people together. It introduces us to different perspectives, takes us to unfamiliar places, sparks conversations, and reminds us of the experiences we share as human beings.

The 7th Siding Festival of Films, presented by the Creston Valley Film Society, celebrates that spirit by bringing the community together to experience the creativity, diversity, and imagination of independent cinema by showing local, national, and international films annually.

Whether you're a lifelong film lover, an occasional moviegoer, an aspiring filmmaker, or simply curious about stories told through film, the festival offers an opportunity to discover something new, connect with others, and experience cinema beyond the usual multiplex offerings.

The 7th Siding Festival of Films creates space for these stories to be experienced and appreciated. It's an opportunity to discover emerging voices, enjoy creative filmmaking, and share the experience of cinema with others in our community.

At its heart, the festival is about more than the films on the screen. It's about the conversations they inspire, the people they bring together, and the connections that grow from a shared love of storytelling.

The 7th Siding Festival of Films is an important part of the Creston Valley Film Society's commitment to supporting film culture and creative expression in our region.

By celebrating independent cinema locally, we help create opportunities for audiences to discover new films, appreciate the art of filmmaking, and become part of a growing community of film enthusiasts and storytellers.

You don't need to know anything about filmmaking to enjoy the festival. All you need is curiosity and an appreciation for a good story.

Whether you come to discover a film you've never heard of, support independent filmmakers, enjoy an evening out, or connect with fellow film lovers, you're welcome at the 7th Siding Film Festival.

Come for the films. Stay for the stories. Leave with a new perspective.

There are 8 locally made films submitted this year.
