Join Us for Our Beginner Editing Workshop

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Beginner Editing Workshop hosted by the Creston Valley Film Society!

Whether you’ve filmed family moments, creative projects, YouTube content, or short films and didn’t know what to do next — this workshop is designed to help you get started with editing in a simple and approachable way.

Saro and Marty from CVFS will guide participants through the foundations of video editing using DaVinci Resolve, one of the most powerful free editing programs available today.

This beginner-friendly session will help you become comfortable with:

Importing and organizing footage
Cutting and arranging clips
Adding simple transitions
Basic audio and colour adjustments
Exporting your finished video

The goal is simple:
👉 Help you feel confident enough to start editing your own videos and creative projects.

This is a chance for anyone who wants to dip their toes into the theatre community without the hassle of a large commitment, or if someone would love to be a part of a book club but doesn't have the time to read on their own.

A great way to make friends, have fun and see what hidden talents you may have.

All are invited, you can be a part of the read or you can just come to listen to the play and be a part of the discussion and your opinion may help decide what plays The Footlighters put on for their season!
